 The Nigerian national team, Super Eagles lost to the National team of Central African Republic by a lone goal.  A goal which came at the tail end of the fixture. It was shocking and very disappointing especially to the teeming supporters at the stadium. It will be recorded that such feat befell Nigeria and were unable to reply an equalising goal.  There is room for amendments and corrections come second leg, said a patriotic supporter at the stadium.

 BARIGA LOCAL COUNCIL UPDATE The Public Primary and Secondary School students in Bariga Local Council, today, October 6th, 2021 held the Bariga preliminary of the Lagos state spelling Bee competition.     The Spelling Bee Competition, a programme designed to promote literacy among students by rewarding learning with amazing prizes and scholarships in Lagos, the epoch making event held in the ultra modern hall of Bariga local council secretariat. The Executive Chairman of Bariga, *Hon Kolade Alabi*, was proactively represented by the Vice, Hon Mrs Adeola Zainot Kuponiyi, who read the welcome address on behalf of the Chairman, encouraged the students to compete with themselves and show the spirit of sportsmanship while doing so, as well as to exhibit how well their teachers have taught them, as well as how prepared they are to take up challenges as future leaders of tomorrow.   Lagos state ex-football stars created scintillating atmosphere at the Nitel mini stadium on Sunday 3rd October, 2021 to mark the maiden edition of Lagos Legends Soccer Fiesta. This august occasion was tremendously placed higher by different generations of football stars of our time in Lagos not undermining the influx of those outside Lagos and the shores of Nigeria.  More details in the maiden edition of Sports Beat, October edition with roll calls. Anyways, the trophy was won by Heritage Team and became the pioneer winner of this laudable event.
