A Coach Shakiru Giwa Ladegbuwa Football Club of Owu Ijebu on Wednesday commences their 2022 Nationwide League (NLO 1) Season with a stalemate outing on Wednesday against Flamingo Football Club at Dipo Dina Stadium, ijebu Ode, Ogun State. Contrast to the goalless scoreline, the match was a keenly contested duel as both teams charged at each other in search of a vital goal. The home team enjoyed possession of the ball and took the initiative to their opponent in the early exchanges of the match and it took stern resilient from Flamingo's defence to ward off the early onslaught from the "Ladegbuwa boys".  As the match progresses it became an end-to-end attack with Flamingo finally settling down for the business of the day. Flamingo had the opportunity to open the scoring in the 25th minute of the match but were brilliantly denied by goalkeeper Tosin Adekoya who narrowed the angle and forced the striker to aim at far post. NURTW Crisis: Lagos Assembly States Position

The Lagos State House of Assembly has said there should not be any contention over the steps being taken by the State Government following the crisis currently rocking the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). Hon. Temitope Adewale, Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, who made the position of the Assembly known, said the legislative arm had been very proactive as it already has a law creating the Lagos State Parking Authority, which should now oversee activities at all the parks in the State. According to Hon. Adewale, the House is fully aware of developments in the transportation union and now that the crisis has resulted in the banning of NURTW activities in Lagos, "it is clear to state that all parks, garrages and parking activities would be under the Lagos State Parking Authority as stipulated by law."  Just In: It's Fake News, MC Oluomo Has Not Been Appointed As GM of Lagos Parks and Garages Committee - Sanwo-Olu’s Aide The Chief Press Secretary to Lagos State Governor, Mr Gboyega Akosile has debunked media report suggesting that the Governor has appointed Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) as the General Manager of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Committee.  Akosile, in clarifying the report, said the position of the government has not changed from details of a statement issued yesterday by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, announcing the suspension of activities of NURTW in all parks and garages in the State.
