*FEDERAL MINISTRY OF SPECIAL DUTIES AND INTER- GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS VISITS BARIGA, INSPECTS PROJECTS*

The officials of Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter–Governmental Affairs today, Thursday, December 16th, 2021 visited Bariga local Council, the chairman, *Hon Alabi Kolade David* was ably represented by his Vice , Hon. Mrs. Adeola Zainot Kuponiyi.
The team comprising of officials from the Lagos State Ministry of Local government and Community Affairs and the Federal Ministy of Special Duties and Inter- Gorvemental Affairs was led by Engr. Kayode Adegbayo, in his opening remark the purpose of the visit was to have on the spot assessment of projects within local governments in the country, The visit was also meant to look into challenges being faced by the local government administrations and report will be submitted to the Minister of Special Duties and Inter Governmental Affairs.
The team also believe that the problems of the country can be solved if the Local Government Administration is strengthened.
Responding, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Kuponiyi appreciated the delegation for the visit as she reel out some of the achievements of the Alabi administration since inception in the area of health, education, women/youth empowerment, security and Infrastructure, reiterating that the Alabi administration is still committed to serve the people of Bariga as the council chairman. She later led them to check some of the projects embarked upon by Alàbi, the completed and ongoing. The ongoing Igbehinadun primary school, network of roads at Apelehin, CMS primary health center, Ilaje and other projects
Other council officials present at the interaction are Hon Bukola Adedeji, Hon Foluso Adebomojo( Chief of Sfaff), Hon Wasiu Balogun( chairman house committee on works) Hon Samuel Apata ( council treasurer) , Engr. Padonu ( council engineer) , Mr Adekunle Oladele ( head information unit )
