NIGERIAN GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL HAS FAILED COMPLETELY, AND NEEDS AN EMERGENCY OPERATION.
Akorom Richard
Nigerian Grassroots football has failed totally concerning the Grassroots developmental program and also the organizing of a better under age football league in Nigeria for the upcoming generation, which would have united and give hope to the Grassroots coaches, referees, sports managers, sports writers and Grassroots football players, male and female. This would have reduced the rate of unemployment and insecurity in the country if attention was given to it in the 774 local government in Nigeria.
The government is not looking towards that direction and with the (SDGs) social developmental goals has shown that in every family, one or two are into Grassroots sports and football in particular, and statistics has proven that 62 million youths are into Grassroots sports at the local government level which shows that when such numbers of youths are unemployed at the grassroot level, and are idle, that means insecurity in Nigeria will not end in 50years time.
We the (NGFPL) Nigerian Grassroots Football Premier League organization is using this medium to call on the govt of Mohammed Buhari to rescue the sinking Grassroots football in Nigeria, which is made of Nigerian football internationals, who played for Nigeria and in Europe. This league will create employment for millions of youths and coaches, referees, sports managers and sports writers and it will give hope to the young men and women who are presently in the (NIS) National institute for sports Lagos State and those coming behind.
The league will discover hidden talents, and bring back to life, those who has taken football and other sports as carriers, but has lost hope and make sure many more youths see football as carrier not fun, to also bring back many great talented football players who are now hoodlums, that has been disappointed, abandoned and frustrated by those in authority.
NIGERIAN GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL LEAGUE, Grassroots league and the state leagues will come back to life again in Nigeria.
